CSF Developed in Greece by BASF, with the purpose of the certification of FiberMax cotton with Sustainable Farming Practices. The “Certified Sustainable FiberMax” program (CSF) Compatible to programs BASF had developed in USA aims to highlight the cotton produced by FiberMax varieties, through socially just, economically viable and environmentally adapted production.

BASF vision to further explore the Cotton value chain, has developed a program in Greece that allows the certification of Yarn and Fabric, heaving as raw material the cotton bales certified from the existing CSF program.

The cotton producer, Spinning and Weaving company, voluntarily participates in the program “Certified Sustainable FiberMax”, and they are committed to the spirit of continuous improvement for the protection of cultivable land and the strengthening of society, as they encourage environmentally correct, economically viable and socially responsible production of the product.

All stages in the value chain (from field to end recipient) are continuously monitored ensuring quality, traceability and sustainability. The control of cultivation of the product is constant, from sowing through harvest, transport, separate storage and ginning to the production of the bale, yarn and fabric, so as to produce a traceable, sustainable and quality FiberMax product.

BASF has choosen Q-CERT S.A. for auditing of the CSF program.
