- Audit Scheduling: Setting dates for audits.
- Audit: On-site review of facilities, personnel, quality system, records, and procedures according to standard requirements. For producer groups, the quality system is checked along with the square root of producers by crop type (annual, under cover, perennial) and the square root of packaging facilities.
- Review and Certification Decision: Technical review of audit results and decision to certify or not.
- Certificate Issuance: The certificate is valid for one year, with a possible four-month extension under certain conditions.
- Surveillance Audit: For group certifications, 50% of the square root of producers by crop type is audited to maintain certification.
Subsequent Years
- Initial Review: Assessment and acceptance of the producer’s application and database registration.
