AGRO 2 is a national certification standard for agricultural products based on the principles of integrated management. ELGO DIMITRA, which operates under the responsibility of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, is the responsible auhority for its development and management.
The AGRO 2 series of standards applies to the following areas:
AGRO 2-1/2-2: Integrated Management in Agricultural Production
Part 1: Specification
Part 2: Requirements for application to crop production
AGRO 2-4: Requirements for the ginning and/or marketing of Integrated Management ginned cotton
AGRO 2-5: Requirements for the processing and/or placing on the market of processed products of Integrated Management

Integrated management is based on the rules of cultivation and production of food and agricultural products with environmentally friendly methods, aiming to produce quality and safe products. The purpose of these standards is achieved through the implementation of a management system, whether cultivation is carried out by one or more producers as a group. Q-CERT, inspecting on the basis of the principles of ISO 17065 and the requirements of these standards, issues the Certificates of Conformity with the relevant part of the AGRO 2 series, enabling the holder of the certificate to market the products of the Certification area with reference to the integrated management method.
